Bachalpsee – The beautiful glacier lake above Grindelwald.

The Bachalpsee, probably the most famous instagram motif of Grindelwald. Not only because of the social media it is worthwhile to observe the Bachalpsee, the nature in the First area is also beautiful. From the First you can see the whole Grindelwald village and the mountains. In good weather you can also observe rare animals. Rarely is it so warm that you can swim on certain days. However, this is only recommended for good swimmers and for people who can swim well with cold water. For example, marmots, alp goats and various bird species. The hiking trail from First to Schynige Platte is highly recommended. A very strenuous trail, but worth it.

After a nice scenic tour you can then ride down the mountain with the various play equipment to the valley station. Not for nothing Grindelwald-First is called “Top of Adventure”. With the various Jungfraubahn offers, you can have a lot of fun downhill.
