A hiking area for large, small, old and young. A beautiful hiking area with two mountain lakes and untouched nature. The very well maintained hiking trails make mountain hiking at the Stockhorn relaxing, healthy and rich in experiences. If you are an enthusiastic angler, the hiking area also offers many other great options. You can fish at the two mountain lakes Hinterstockensee and Oberstockensee and also enjoy nature. The Hinterstockensee can be reached by anglers and hikers from the middle station Chrindi within 10 minutes.

The Oberstockensee is a little further away and is highly recommended for families for outdoor grilling. Within 40 minutes from the middle station Chrindi you are at the lake.
Some more information about fishing in the Stockhorn hiking area:
You have to bring your own fishing equipment. For fishing you must obtain a fishing licence in combination with a train ride at the valley station. Fishing is allowed for a maximum of 6 fish. Fishing is possible daily after the snow has melted until the end of the summer season in November.
