The Zibelemärit in Bern – Autumn is slowly coming into the garden of Chalet Anemone. The first vegetables are harvested and prepared for wintering in the cellar. Now the warm days are used to harvest and dry the onions. The loose onions are processed into braids which are hung in a protected place to dry. Right now you can see such onion bundles drying on many facades of the wooden chalet.
The onions are also woven into small works of art in many places and sold on Monday 25 November 2019 in the beautiful old town of Bern at the famous onion market. The annual event in Bern is a classic and a well-kept secret. We can only recommend it to you and are happy to help if you need help.
