The Bodmi Arena

The Bodmi Arena better known simply “Bodmi” it is it’s the perfect arena in winter for beginner skiers. It is not only centrally located, it has something for every skier. Be it a steep downhill run, a flat “slide” run or a small park with ski jumps and other park elements. So there are offers for children from 3 years up to seniors.

For your stay in the winter season we therefore recommend to start skiing in the Bodmi. You are within 5 minutes walking distance from Chalet Anemone in the Arena. And you can learn to ski after a hard day, when there is enough snow, you can ski right to your front door. If you don’t want to stay overnight with us, the arena is very well connected with public transport. From Bärplatz to the arena, buses run every 15 minutes, which is also the case in summer. In the off-season the buses only run every 30 minutes or you can walk from the train station to the arena. The walk is about 1.7 km via Chalet Anemone and about 1 km directly via the Bodmi valley station. However, both paths are very demanding and only recommended for good walkers.

In summer the arena is used by the local farmers as pasture for their cows, goats and other species. A small area is still available for paragliders, as there are sightseeing flights from the First to the Bodmi all year round. For people who are in Grindelwald for the first time, we can only recommend this. The view is beautiful and also the experience of feeling like a bird is unique.

More

In the evening, the small area can also be used for football, badminton or other games. If you have planned your stay with us, ask us for a football or other equipment. Either we can lend you something and if not, we know where you can rent the necessary equipment.
